SUBMISSION GUIDELINES for SLPS Amsterdam III

PART ONE: SUBMISSIONS OF INVITED ARTISTS, deadline July 31.

Thank you for your interest in showing work at Slideluck Potshow Amsterdam III. After a smashing success in January 2012 we are ready for round three!  In previous editions we showed the work of Morad Bouchakour, Erik Kessels, Kadir van Lohuizen, Iwan Baan, Johannes Schwartz, Liam Tickner, Taisuke Koyama, Laura Pannack, Andre Thijssen and many others!

For SLPS Amsterdam III we have found Erik Kessels prepared to curate our show. He chose the theme Perfect Imperfect.

A selected number of artists has been invited on behalf of him to enter their work. If you are one of them, please let us know asap if you will be able to send in your work. Please complete the submission process by July 31.

The open call for entries, out of which Erik Kessels will make an additional selection, will be announced soon. 

- Presentations are a maximum of 5 minutes each, but most are much shorter, and we recommend between 15-40 cohesive images. The presentations are set to an audio track or song of your choice.

- We also need you to send in a title slide, an end slide with contact information and an audio track or song to accompany it.  

Curator: Erik Kessels. In part one of the submission process he will invite photographers of his choice. In part two of the submission process he will make a selection from the Open Call for Entry (more details to be announced later). 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: July 31

Please follow the 5 steps below to complete your submission:

Step 1: Prepare your digital images according to these guidelines

1. All images should be in JPEG format.

2. All images must be in an RGB colorspace - they look best in sRGB but even if they are black and white images they must be RGB and not grayscale.

3. Your images should be 1024 x 768 pixels @ 300dpi. Vertical images should not exceed 768 height, and horizontal images should not exceed 1024 width. Square images should be 768 x 768.

4. Name your files with your initials followed by a 2-digit Serial Number. For example, JK01.jpg, JK02.jpg, JK03.jpg. The serial number should suggest the order in which you want the slides presented.

5. Please also make the following slides/ jpegs:
      a. Title slide- jpeg with your name (and the title of the project if applicable) for the beginning of your slideshow.

       b. Music credit slide (jpeg):

      c. End slide (jpeg) with your contact info, or representation:

Step 2:

Choose and include an audio file, such as music or an interview in an MP3 format only - this is required.

Step 3:

Place all components in one folder, titled with your FULL NAME as you'd like it to appear in all contexts. Then create a .zip folder of your submission.

Step 4:

You will need to use WeTransfer.com to email your zip folder to: submissionsams@slideluckpotshow.com .

Step 5:

When submission is complete, fill questionaire form online by clicking this link

Step 6:

You will receive a download confirmation from WeTransfer when your submission has been received successfully. If this does not happen, please contact us at submissionsams@slideluckpotshow.com

SUBMISSION COMPLETE!

MULTIMEDIA SUBMISSIONS:

We accept only Quicktime .mov files formatted at exactly 1024 x 768. They should be exported using the H.264 Codec, and be a maximum of about 250 MB, and no longer than 5 minutes. Please make sure that your piece begins with a clear title including your name, and ends with proper credits including contact information. We cannot accept Soundslides files, flash files or other formats.
