SLPS Portland Submissions Person Needed!
Dear Portlanders:
Hey guys, as we mentioned before, we are on the hunt for a new addition or two to the Slideluck Potshow PDX team. We are looking for someone, preferably a photographer or someone in the industry, who can handle submissions for this and other upcoming Slideluck Potshows. Duties include:
*Soliciting submissions from photographers and artists and following up with them
*Receiving submissions, checking them for completeness
*Working closely with NYC and Seattle producers to process them and create individual slideshows
*Helping curate and sequence the show and creating the final product
Some knowledge of photography, FTP servers, and Quicktime Pro is helpful but not required. The individual will be trained from A-Z and will ultimately be the most critical piece of the puzzle in keeping SLPS Portland alive and running! They will also become a hub within the photo community and will meet and work with a lot of artists, both local and international. In short, this person will be indispensable to Slideluck and a vital part of the arts community.
The good news is that Shannon Welles, who has been running SLPS Seattle for almost five years, will also be in Portland, and she is excited to help produce the show on April 25th and get this person up to speed! She’s super chill and extremely easy to work with.
