SLIDELUCK POTSHOW

Hi all, below you will find a call for work for a new project I am piloting. I hope you all find time to participate.

Cordially,

Matt Wright-Steel
Editor and Publisher, Eleanor

---BEGIN---

Eleanor is an ever-evolving document, a fluid experiment an opportunity to showcase works of passion, of importance, of obsession…an opportunity to inspire.

Eleanor was conceived as, tangible and intangible, printed and online.

As Submissions arrive Eleanor will bring photographic works to its online platform. Additionally, Eleanor will invite selected photographers to be featured in the seasonal portfolio.

Each portfolio edition will be hand-made in my studio by me with 60% of the profits passed on to the photographers. As a photographer, I am well aware of the difficulties of our times. It may not amount to much, but I realize that photography is costly and every bit counts.

Each photographer selected for the seasonal portfolio will receive both, a personal edition and a gift edition.

It is my very meager way of saying thanks to a community for so much inspiration.

Terms:
I do not apply terms, license, or exclusivity to the written or photographic content, it always remains, at it should, the property of the photographer in perpetuity.
I may however watermark the image with the photographer’s name to prevent screen grabs or other nefarious practices.

File Requirements:
All images should be submitted as a ZIP with a .doc/.pdf discussing the project, duration of the work, and a bio.
Minimum 10 images, Maximum 30 images.
File structure: first_lastname_1.jpg
JPEG, Adobe sRGB, 950px longest side, 72dpi, Quality 10.

Hi Matt,
I just went to eleanormag.com for the first time and was blown away. The work of the photographers that you have posted now is phenomenal. Each of the 3 stories is unique but come together with the same passion that you said you re-found in yourself to start Eleanor.

I first fell in love with photojournalism 2 years ago after seeing an Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit at the International Center of Photography. Since then I’ve followed David Burnett’s work and most recently David Alan Harvey.

I’m not a photographer so I don’t have any work to submit, but what you’ve created is inspiring and I will happily pass along the word to people I know.

Best of luck,
Carla
